I'm confused about ';facial beauty';?

In my anatomy class, I read that the key element to a woman being attractive is to have a ';baby face';?

Ex: Round features, small chin, large eyes, circular face, ';precious moment'; eyes

Yet most of the celebrities who are marked for their beauty all have a very different kind of face?

Ex: Sharp features, fairly large jawline, medium cat-sized eyes, square face

I'm studying to be a plastic surgeon, so this interests me. What sort of looks do you prefer?I'm confused about ';facial beauty';?
I think you need a balance.

Katie Holmes is pretty, her face is a bit round - but not too round and she has some jaw.http://www.ultimopase.com/wp-content/upl鈥?/a>

I think Kate Moss's face has too much angles and Kelly Osburne not enough:

eh i see what your sayinggg.

personally, i think certain features that are very attractive, dont seem as attractive whenever the rest of their face isnt proprtionate. EX- With Gemma Ward and Heather Marks their eyes are pretty, but the shape of their face and and the placement and size of their eyes make their forehead look HUGE, or well to me.

I guess basically it depends, im working on it but im picky and i notice little things, but i really think a mix of certain traits are really attractive.
Nothing particular about someone in my opinion classifies them pretty in a certain category of reasoning. Not to sound cliche', but everyone is different and in my eyes that's what makes them beautiful. Attractive more or less, clear skin, full lips, almond shaped eyes. Those would be my main three general things.
i think that baby face's may be preferred by older people as clients because they have a younger look to them - whereas the younger people would probably find the other kind of face alot more appealing. sharper features are definately more sexy on both sexes, but the baby faces look pretty and innocent.
to me, it just has to fit the person! i have sorta the ';baby face'; [or ppl tell me i do] http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll181鈥?/a> but guys dont really consider me pretty! so i think if ur gonna be a plastic surgeon then its just each patients personal preference on whatever would look good with the rest of their feautures on their face. everyone has a different idea of beautiful! my idea of beautiful is this http://media.photobucket.com/image/regin鈥?/a>

is smthn we call sexy.
Definitely shape features. It's not a surprise that most celebrities and attractive people have them.
I think oval faces are much better looking than circular ones. the most important thing is how all the facial features come together as one.
The second pictures are better.
Well I have a round ';baby'; face and I have been called ugly many times!!
I think that the ';baby face'; thing is probably true from a scientific perspective--which is why you learned it in anatomy class. What I mean is that that sort of look probably allows a woman to reproduce more, or to have a selection of healthier mates. It is probably a look that men instinctively find attractive. It does not necessarily mean that this look is what is considered ';sexy'; or ';beautiful'; right now. Such ideas vary culturally and over time. I think it's interesting that all your answers have been from women. It would probably be better to get answers from men; then you would get more answers based on sexual attraction and not on a cultural/temporal idea of beauty. The answers based on sexual attraction are more likely to agree with what you learned in class than our answers here. Even when asking men, though, answers will still be influenced by those factors. Just an idea, but try asking this again but in the subject line say you want answers from men. Then you can at least get results that are more informative than results from just women (although results from women are interesting, too).
